L'ANNEXE-A is a multi-mandate organization that creates and produces works, and supports artists by offering residencies in Abitibi-Témiscamingue. L'ANNEXE-A also provides support to artists by creating partnerships and collaborations between different artists, venues, and cultural workers from the region and elsewhere. 

 

Its mission is to support and develop contemporary art, especially contemporary dance and interdisciplinary performance. L'Annexe-A is also a host venue with a studio in a rural area, on the shores of Caron Bay in Rouyn-Noranda. The venue hosts artists who wish to take time away to research and develop a project. Residencies can take place either at the studio by Caron Bay or at venues belonging to L'Annexe-A’s partners.

 

L'Annexe-A was founded in January 2018 by choreographer Audrée Juteau whose desire is to decentralize the practice of contemporary dance and interdisciplinary performance away from major urban centers.
