Native de l'Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Audrée Juteau est revenue s'installer dans la région il y a cinq ans avec le projet de contribuer à décentraliser la pratique artistique des grands centres urbains. Nouvellement directrice de l'Écart, son parcours professionnel entrecroise la direction de L'Annexe-A qui a pour objectif le soutien aux artistes en offrant notamment des résidences de création dans le quartier de Bellecombe à Rouyn-Noranda, ainsi qu'une pratique artistique de chorégraphe et performeuse/danseuse dans le milieu de la danse contemporaine et des arts interdisciplinaires depuis une vingtaine d'années. Elle est également diplômée de LADMMI, détient une maîtrise en danse de l'UQAM et est récipiendaire de la bourse DanceWeb 2010 — ImPlusTanz (Autriche) octroyée par Jardin d’Europe et du prix David-Kilburn (2015).
Les œuvres expérimentales de danse contemporaine d’Audrée Juteau contiennent une part d’imprévisibilité et cherchent à mettre sur un pied d’égalité les êtres humains, les animaux et les objets. Avec Mystic-Informatic, elle retourne à la création collective avec N. Zoey Gauld, Catherine Lavoie-Marcus et Ellen Furey. Pour cette création, elles imaginent ensemble des méthodologies empruntées au monde fongique.

Born in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Audrée Juteau returned to the region five years ago with the goal of contributing to the decentralization of artistic practice from large urban centers. Newly appointed director of L'Écart, her professional career intertwines the direction of L'Annexe-A, whose objective is to support artists by offering creation residencies in the Bellecombe district of Rouyn-Noranda, with her artistic practice as a choreographer and performer/dancer in the field of contemporary dance and interdisciplinary arts over the past twenty years. She is also a graduate of LADMMI, holds a master's degree in dance from UQAM and is a recipient of the DanceWeb 2010 - ImPlusTanz (Austria) grant awarded by Jardin d'Europe and of the David-Kilburn prize (2015).
Audrée Juteau’s experimental contemporary dance works often contain an element of unpredictability and seek to put human beings, animals and objects on equal footing. With Mystic-Informatic, she returns to collective creation with N. Zoey Gauld, Catherine Lavoie-Marcus and Ellen Furey. For this work, they imagine and borrow methodologies from the fungi world.
